Hari Vishnu is a Research fellow at National University of Singapore. He obtained his Ph.D degree in 2013 from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Computer Engineering, after completing his B.Tech in EEE from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, in 2008.
He joined Acoustic Research Lab (ARL) in 2013. His current research interests at ARL are in machine learning and neural networks, signal detection & localization, robust signal processing, acoustic modelling and Bayesian filtering.
His Ph.D research involved the development of improved algorithms for underwater signal processing in the noisy waters of Singapore dominated by sounds from snapping shrimp, using an efficient type of sensor called a vector sensor.
Apart from research, Hari enjoys reading, listening to music and playing the flute. He is also passionate about anime, movies and TV series.
