MyDoc Pte Ltd (MyDoc) and AXA Singapore (AXA) have partnered to launch the first Digital Healthcare Partnership of its kind. The new service will offer AXA employees and policy holders the option of conducting message or video consultations with qualified healthcare professionals through their smartphones.
As a part of this partnership, AXA Singapore has launched MyAXAHealth, a one-stop health app that provides users with easy access to high quality medical advice from Singapore based GPs via live chat or secure “face-to-face” video call anytime and anywhere in the world. This is the first time an insurer is offering such a service in Singapore and in Asia.
AXA is using MyDoc’s ‘Digital Concierge’ service to create a digital platform for their traige team, AXA Assistance, to connect with and assist AXA policy holders.
“Trust, expertise and reliability are at the core of Health insurance. This innovative service is a new milestone to deliver a better customer experience, and reinforce our role as a Health partner of our customers”, said Andre Czanik, Chief Health Officer of AXA Insurance Singapore.
The mobile app will also allow customers to manage their healthcare experience by submitting and tracking their health claims online.
AXA Singapore will be rolling out the Live Doctor Consultation service to 5,000 users, comprising of employees and existing AXA customers within the next month.
“With the prevalence of personal mobile devices and increasing reliance on technology, there is a need to fill the gap of being able to gain access to medical advice anytime, anywhere. We found the perfect balance by bringing these two functionalities together with a single, one-stop app that is easily accessible via mobile devices. We are extremely proud to be the first insurer in Singapore and in Asia to introduce the live doctor consultation service, thus cutting out the waiting time at clinics for our customers,” said Mr Leo Costes, Chief Claims Officer of AXA Insurance Singapore.
