We scouted across the country while deciding on the location and finalized on Hyderabad, Telangana. Infrastructure, Quality Talent, Advanced Education System and the warm support from the authorities of the State; have attracted us to Hyderabad. This is the first time I am visiting the region and was pleasantly surprised with the infrastructure.”
“We plan to develop fully integrated facilities here including R&D, Commercial and Mnaufacturing units. We already have 11 such facilities around the world including Europe, US, China, West America and Middle East. We will be investing about $25 mn for the first phase in India. We are hoping to start the 2nd phase with the labs in 2017. The facility at Karkapatla, we just inaugurated the site yesterday will be of a capacity of several hundred people. As it is still in the planning stage we cannot confirm the number as yet. We are very well established in the US with our research activities. The faility in Hyderabad will include pharmaceutical activities and development of molecules and drugs differently.”

Prior to finalizing on Hyderabad we looked at different states such as Gujarat, Karnataka and other parts of Maharashtra. The infrastructure in Hyderabad and the TS-iPAAS facility which provides all approvals within 15 days attracted us to Hyderabad. This is a commendable policy from the Telangana Government, possibly parellel to none other in world where all the applications are digitized and we are provided with self attestment of the documentation. We are thankful to the Telangana Govt for their support. More than 17% of our revenue comes from peptides and research activities. We will be working on those in our Hyderabad facility.”
